SEMINARS, WORKSHOPS,ORIENTATION PROGRAMME,PTA MEETS
TEACHERS - In-service teachers training program for a week was conducted during the summer vacations from 13th to 17th May.
STUDENTS & PARENTS
In lieu of the beginning of new academic session, the Orientation programs for students and parents were conducted to make them apprise with the working of the school in regard to the academics, CCA, disciplinary issues etc.
Talk on Parental support was organized for the parents of Board class students where they were told about their role in helping their child to cope up with the exam stress and distractions.
A career counselling session was organized by the TGTs & PGTs of different disciplines for the class 11th students and their parents to make them understand about the future perspectives of the streams they have chosen.
To offer a variety of effective techniques for mind and behavior balance, an interactive session was conducted on 13th of April by the Memory Champion Blind Folded Vision Expert from Wisdom of Mind.
On 16th April, a motivational and interactive session was conducted for class V students and their parents spreading awareness about the benefits, important dates and criteria for appearing in the Sainik School and Rashtriya Military school entrance exams.
A workshop was conducted on 14th August by 307 Fd Regt about Basic Life Support and CPR.
On 6th of September, Drug Awareness session was conducted by Mr Karan Nangla followed by a theatrical show on Drug Menace by HQ 7 Inf Div for the parents and students of classes 9th to 12th.
On 9th October, a motivational and career guidance session was conducted by Ms Pushpinder Kaur Wadhwa from Wadhwa Career Institute.
An interactive session on soft skills was conducted by Mrs Sphurti Pathak, certified image consultant and soft skill trainer on 9th November for classes XI and XII.
Workshops on the topics Anger Management, Hormonal changes, Health and Hygiene, Time Management, Ethics and Moral Values etc were conducted by the school counselor.
ACHIEVEMENTS
The Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam International Innovation Conclave, hosted by Chandigarh University in collaboration with the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India in which our Students Presented the Topics: Time Stand ,Smart Car ,Radar System etc. and bagged third position with the Cash Prize INR5000.
ACADEMICS - The school achieved a perfect 100 percent result in the session 2023-24. The school yielded an API of 432.25 in the class XII Board Examination and 442.34 in class X Board Examination resulting in a rise in the ranking both at the Western Command and 11 Corps level from 23rd to 12th and from 4th to 2nd rank respectively. The topper of class 10th was Sanskriti Yadav scoring 96.6% and toppers of class 12th were Sneha Kumari, KumKum, Khushi Tanwar and Neha of Non-Medical, Medical, Commerce and Humanities streams respectively.
11 CORPS INTER APS COMPETITIONS
Football Champions Crowned at 11 Corps APS Tibri
Cariappa House started the football season with an inter-house victory. APS Ferozepur then demonstrated remarkable prowess in the 11 Corps Inter APSs Football Competition 2025-26. Their journey included a decisive 8-0 win, a draw with the host, and a strong 4-0 semifinal victory. Ultimately,APS Ferozepur (U-15) clinched the championship by winning the final against APS Amritsar. This triumph qualifies them to compete at the command level in APS New Delhi.
The school bagged overall 1st position in the Juniors category in the 11 Corps Inter APSs English Debate Competition held on 17th August at APS Tibri. Randip Singh of class 8th brought glory to the school by fetching 1st prize in the Juniors category speaking against the motion. Randip was also awarded as the Best Speaker of the day in the Juniors category.
In the 11 Corps Inter APSs Ethics Bowl Competition conducted from 18th to 21st May at APS, Jalandhar. our school bagged the 2nd Runners up trophy. Mannat Gupta, Gaurvi Rathi, Akshat Wadhawan, Srishti Yadav, Avanthika and Prachi of class XI and XII received cash prizes, individual trophies and certificates. Out of them, Mannat Gupta and Srishti Yadav were also selected to perform at the Command Level at Chandimandir.
In the 11 Corps Inter APSs Quiz Competition held on 30 July at APS Beas, our students scored the 2nd Runners up position.
In the 11 Corps Inter APSs Football Tournament held at APS Tibri from 18th to 20th April, our school boys bagged the 1st Runners up position.
Another feather was added in our cap in the 11 Corps Inter APSs Table Tennis Tournament held at APS Fzr from 11th to 13th July when both the boys and the girls bagged the 1st Runners up trophy in singles and 2nd Runners up trophy in the Mix doubles. Overall, we got the 1st Runners up trophy in the T T Tournament.
Once again in the 11 Corps Inter APSs Badminton Competition, the boys of APS Fzr showed their exemplary performance by winning the Runners up position and the 2nd Runners up trophy in the Mix Doubles.
DISTRICT LEVEL COMPETITIONS
The school students also participated in the District level Tournament named Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan during the month of September.
Jaipal Singh of class XII won Gold Medal in the Boxing Competition.
Later, he played at the State level Boxing Tournament and won Bronze.
INTER SCHOOL COMPETITIONS
School children also participated in the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Kala Utsav conducted at KVS and bagged various prizes.Many students also brought laurels in the Inter school Book Mark Making Competition organized at the Dronacharya library.
INDIVIDUAL ACHIEVEMENTS
The school beamed with pride when Mannat Gupta of class XI was being awarded as the Best Delegate – 1st position and received a cash prize of Rs 5000 in the Committee United Nations General Assembly held at DAV Patiala Model United Nations on 26th – 27th October. She also received the High Commendation – 2nd Position in the Committee United Nations Commission for the status of women in Scholar Fields at DAV Patiala Model United Nations on 17th - 18th October.
INTACH, an NGO with an aim to preserve and conserve the heritage of India conducted the poem for Peace Challenge in which thousands of students from all over India participated, the poem composed by Rakshita of class 12th was awarded the 3rd prize.
Class VI student, Samaira Tandon, the youngest girl sailor in the entire APS fraternity won bronze in the Optimist Green Fleet Class during the 24th Yachting Association of India Youth National Optimist Sailing Championship held at Krishna Raja Sagar Dam, Mysore from 5th to 10th August 2024.
19 children of class V qualified the entrance exam of Sainik school.
NCC ACTIVITIES
NCC EXCELLENCE: Three distinguished NCC cadets from APS Ferozepur have been specially chosen to attend the prestigious IDSSC Camp in Ludhiana.
NCC ANNUAL TRAINING CAMP: A total of 50 Cadets participated in the Annual Training Camp (ATC) held at the NCC Academy, Malout.
In this session, all 2nd year cadets appeared and successfully completed their NCC Certification.
Conducting the institutional training during the school hours has been a regular feature. The classes are taken by ANO and PI staff of 13 PB BN NCC.
The NCC cadets celebrated various important days with great zeal and enthusiasm - To mark the Earth Day’s Celebration, Tree Plantation Drive and painting competition was organized. They participated enthusiastically in the Kargil Vijaya Diwas Celebrations and made beautiful posters to show their gratitude for the martyrs. An activity named Swachchata Hi Sewa was conducted in which cadets cleaned up the campus, bus stand, railway station spreading the awareness and pledged to keep their surroundings clean. The cadets also participated in the parade to celebrate Independence Day, Republic Day in the school premises. On 22 Nov, NCC Day was celebrated by the cadets whole heartedly.
Miss Aarti Yadav, TGT Hindi received an A-grade certificate in the PRCN course training at the Officer Training Academy, Gwalior and earned the rank of Third Officer. She is currently serving as an Associate NCC Officer.
